Another RPS milestone – Auburn wins first boys conference tennis title

The Auburn Knights made school history this past weekend by winning the NIC-10 boys tennis championship in Freeport.

The Knights were favored at the start of the season, but still it was a surprise at how completely the Knights dominated to claim the first conference boys tennis title in school history. Quinten Nevenhoven and Chris Park dominated No. 1 and No. 2 singles, and the Knights captured the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles and finished second in No. 3 doubles.

Guilford’s Milan Patel and Breon Newble made it a District 205 sweep by winning No. 3 doubles. The Vikings finished third overall.

Will Snedegar and Glenn Dusing were the No. 1 doubles champions, while Wyatt Morris and Logan Lupeamanu won No. 2 doubles.
