Former Guilford soccer star climbing the financial ladder

Phillip Ianno, a two-time All-NIC-10 soccer player at Guilford, was promoted to Business Architect, Vice President at HTLF in Dubuque, Iowa.

HTLF, is an $18.4 billion bank holding company that was formerly known as Heartland Financial USA. Illinois Bank & Trust is among the dozens of banks that HTLF owns.

Ianno joined HTLF in 2012, the same year he graduated with a business degree from the University of Dubuque. He’s advanced from deposit operations management trainee to customer care center manager to director of online and small business innovations to director of customer care to finally business architect.

At Guilford, Phillip was an all-conference defender for the Vikings in 2006 and 2007. Guilford went 12-4 in conference play the two seasons he anchored the defense.
