East’s Jamerson tops 1,000 points

ROCKFORD – Rockford East senior Kabrea Jamerson topped the 1,000 career point level on Monday.

Jamerson passed the mark with 22 points against North Boone. Jamerson is averaging 19.2 points per game this season. She was third in the NIC-10 in scoring as a junior with a 17.0 average.

Jamerson, who will play at Northern Iowa Community College next year, is believed to be just the fourth E-Rab girls basketball player to hit 1,000 points.

Here is the list of previous 1,000 point scorers at East:

  • Mardaeja Cross, Class of 2017, 1,265 points.
  • Tiffany Chatman, Class of 2007, 1,036 points.
  • Gina LaMay, Class of 1991, 1,018 points.
