East takes fifth in J-Hawk girls bowling invitational

CHERRY VALLEY – Powered by strong performances from Ashley Harkey and Jurnee Williams, East finished fifth out of 15 teams in this past weekend’s J-Hawk Girls Bowling Invitational at the Cherry Bowl.

Harkey rolled a 559 series (186.3 average) to take 13th overall and Williams came in just behind at 14th with a 557 series.

Mackenzie Wallace at 23rd (513 series) and Mckayla Gary at 25th (509 series) were the next highest finishers for the E-Rabs.

East finished with a final score of 4,454, 39 pins behind Metea Valley for fourth place. State power Machesney Park Harlem won the tournament.

Jefferson’s top bowler was Alex Lieving, who was 21st with a 524 series.
