East pulls away from Harlem in rare first-place battle

MACHESNEY PARK – Sincere Parker scored 37 points for the East E-Rabs, who scored 19 of the final 20 points to pull away from Harlem in a rare showdown Wednesday night.

Harlem entered the game one game behind the E-Rabs in the NIC-10 race (8-0 for East to 7-1 for Harlem). East is seeking its first NIC-10 title since 1981. Harlem has never won the NIC-10 in boys basketball.

The Huskies were nipping at East’s heels, trailing just 53-47 when the E-Rabs put on one final push. Several media outlets made it out to Harlem.
