Guilford baseball adds to District 205 trophy hall

The Guilford Vikings won its first baseball regional title since 2007, winning a 2-1 thriller behind another stellar pitching performance. Jake Klekamp through a complete game, three-hitter for the Vikings, striking out eight, leading Guilford over DeKalb Saturday morning. Guilford pitcher signs with Indiana State

Max Klein, a left-handed pitcher for Guilford, on Monday signed a scholarship to play for Indiana State, an NCAA Division 1 program. Klein led the Vikings to a 9-9 conference record and 12-11 overall. The Vikings play Rockford East in the IHSA regionals on Thursday. The Sycamores are 29-22 this season.
