Auburn swimmers earn a pair of fourths at Logterman Invitational

MACHESNEY PARK – Auburn swimmers picked up a couple of fourth-place finishes at the highly competitive Dave Logterman Invitational Saturday at Harlem High School.

The six-team meet included Hononegah, Algonquin, Belvidere’s Co-op team, Harlem and Byron.

Auburn’s best individual finish came in the 50-yard freestyle where Auburn junior Zane Edleman came in fourth.

Edleman also was a part of the best relay showing. He swam leadoff on the 200-yard medley relay, where the Knights also took fourth. Radison Ackerman, Hayden Hallberg and Daniel Pyun ran the other legs. Akerman and Hallberg also are juniors.
